Our story
A dictionary of the things we feel.
Riyadh, since 2021
i.

qā·mūs · noun
A dictionary.
Not the kind that sits on a library shelf. The kind every girl writes without noticing.
- The words for her dreams.
- The nickname only her best friend uses.
- The phrase her mother always says.
- The feelings she hasn't found words for yet.
ii.
Riyadh, 2021.
Qamos began in Riyadh, in 2021, at a small desk, with a single agenda.
We wanted one place to hold a whole year: the plans, the dates that matter, the small things worth remembering. We couldn't find one that felt like ours, so we made it.
Friends asked for one. Then friends of friends. So the agenda grew into notebooks, and the notebooks into cards, stickers and notes, each one made to hold a feeling.
We called it Qamos, because that is what it was becoming. A dictionary of the things we feel.
iii.
The words you keep.
Some words are only for you.
The plans you're not ready to say out loud. The days you want to remember exactly as they were. The person you're becoming.
Qamos is made for those words, too.
iv.
The words you give.
And some words are meant to be given.
To a sister, a best friend, a mother, the friend you've known since school.
Qamos is how you give them, beautifully.
v.
By hand.
Every Qamos order still passes through our hands.
We lay in the paper, scatter the confetti, tie the ribbon, and tuck in a thank-you card. Then the soft scent of Qamos, so the first thing you notice when you lift the lid is us.
It takes time. We take it anyway.
Because the moment you open it should feel like it was made for you.
It was.
